Membership in the organization is open to any person who has completed at least one orbit of the Earth in space (as defined by the FAI) in a spacecraft. ASE is currently comprised of over 325 flown individuals from 35 countries. A country which is the native-born country of a space flight participant and in which that person holds citizenship is qualified to become a member country of the Association of Space Explorers and gains membership by application or by hosting an annual Planetary Congress. Ratification requires support by two-thirds of the votes of the delegates at an annual Congress. |
Astronaut & Cosmonaut Flight Order * * This list includes only those individuals who have flown to orbit and thereby qualify for membership in ASE. It is not to be considered an exhaustive list of those who have qualified for or earned astronaut wings. |
