Description

Ninety-five astronauts and cosmonauts from 20 nations gathered November 4-10, 2012 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the XXV Planetary Congress of the Association of Space Explorers (ASE). The theme of the XXV Congress was “Space Technology for a Knowledge Based Society, reflecting the Association’s belief that space research and exploration have direct benefits for education and the development of modern society. The XXV Planetary Congress was hosted by Saudi astronaut Sultan bin Salman al-Saud. This poster commemorates the XXV Congress and bears the authentic signatures of the participating astronauts and cosmonauts*. This poster is part of a series of limited collector’s edition posters that have been produced and signed at each ASE Congress since the Association was founded in 1985. Forty-four Collector’s Edition posters were signed at the XXV Congress. The poster has two headings, the main heading in Arabic at the top, with the English and Russian displayed at the bottom. Around the periphery are printed translations of “Association of Space Explorers” in the native languages of the Founding Members of the Association of Space Explorers. # in series: 44 Signature key included
